Experimental research shows that, as far as the paddle area is concerned, regardless of the pulp type, when the paddle diameter is certain, the maximum shear rate and the average shear rate increase with the increase of rotational speed. However, when the speed is certain, the relationship between the maximum shear rate and the average shear rate and the paddle diameter is related to the pulp type. When the speed is certain, the maximum shear rate of radial type paddle increases with the increase of paddle diameter, while the average shear rate is not related to the size of the paddle diameter. These concepts about the shear rate of the paddle area need to be especially careful in the design of filling and sealing machine reduction and enlargement. Because of the small slot compared with large slot, small slot filling and sealing machine often has a high speed (N), small blade diameter (D) and low blade tip speed (ND) and other characteristics, while the large slot filling and sealing machine often has a low speed (N) large blade diameter (D) and high blade tip speed (ND) and other characteristics.
